Hobbs Ernie Breytspraak

BYRON – Hobbs Ernie Breytspraak, age 69, of Byron passed away peacefully at Swedish American Hospital on Tuesday May 28, 2019. Born at home on Burling St. in Chicago on May 2, 1950 to Walter & Lorraine Breytspraak (Sawyer). A proud Vietnam Veteran, Hobbs served his country in the US Army. He was devoted H.O.G. Member and truly enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Hobbs worked for many years as truck driver and served as a dedicated volunteer for Toys for Tots. Beloved husband, brother and dear friend, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan D. Breytspraak (Lesniewski); brothers, James (Candice) Breytspraak, Ronnie (Joanne) Breytspraak and Richie Breytspraak; and many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; sister, Marilyn (Dick) Wagner; and sister-in-law, Stella Breytspraak.

Graveside interment service held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 25, 2019 at Beverly Cemetery, 12000 S Kedzie Ave., Blue Island. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
