Irene Lamb

MACHESNEY PARK – Mildred Irene Lamb, age 76, of Machesney Park passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Born in Brighton, TN on March 3, 1950 to RB & Alice L. Wilson (Curington). An Elvis fanatic and super fan, Irene loved tending and tinkering in her gardens and sitting down for a hearty meal at many of the local eateries. She loved to travel and truly enjoyed vacationing and spending time in the Florida sun. Most of all Irene cherished her family and friends, her true pride and joy. Beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald Ray Lamb; son, Brian Lamb; grandchildren, Makinzie & Kadin Lamb; great grandson, Kyren Lamb; siblings, Marilyn (Dan) Watson, Doris Wilson and Roger (Betty) Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents; brothers, John & Roy Wilson; and beloved Shiatsu pups, Snooky & Boo.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be announced. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Family.
