James "Jimmer" B. Swenson

LOVES PARK – James B. "Jimmer" Swenson, age 50, of Loves Park passed away peacefully Sunday April 23, 2017. Born in Rockford on September 2, 1966 to Brian James Swenson Sr. and Carol A. Henderson. Jim worked for over 30 years as a machinist. He loved playing pool, Harley's, fishing and having a cold-one. Beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and dear friend, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Dominica M. "Sandy" Swenson (Lucchese); children, Tasha (TJ Cannella) Nelson, Samantha (Matt Bolar) Boncouri and Brian (Shauna Ferguson) Carter; mother, Carol A. Morse; several grandchildren; siblings, Jean Dawson, Melissa Coogan, Lori (late Dave Richardson) Morse and Kristy Morse; his favorite nephew Kyle Coogan; several other nieces & nephews; best friend, Mikey Abbott; and beloved dogs, Amy & Minnie. He is predeceased by his father, Brian James Swenson Sr.; step-father, Donald Morse; and his grandparents.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be held on Friday April 28, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Faith Center, 4721 S. Main Street, Rockford. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
