James Edward Richardson

ROCKFORD – James Edward Richardson, age 88, of Rockford passed away peacefully Monday November 4, 2024. Born in Blytheville, AR on August 10, 1936 to Wesley Andrew & Helen Richardson (Conner). He married the love of his life, Fredia Gayle Statler on May 5, 1964 in Blytheville, Arkansas. A proud Marine Corp Veteran, Jim worked 50+ years at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in Rockford. Beloved husband, father, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years; Fredia Gayle Richardson (Statler); daughter, Sandra Tietjen; siblings, Ann (late Otis) Wooldridge, Rick (Becky) Mosley and Paula (Jim) Griffie; sister-in-law, Betty Richardson; several nieces & nephews; as well as many dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Johnny Richardson and Michael Mosley; and nephew, Richard Wooldridge.

Services are Private. Graveside committal service with military honors held at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockford. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to:
