Janet Sue Al-Abbodi (Higgs)

ROCKFORD – Janet Sue Al-Abbodi (Higgs), age 64, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Saturday April 14, 2018. Born in Rockford on August 27, 1953 to Walter & Sarah Higgs (Middleton). She loved spending time on Facebook and online games, but most of all time with her children & grandchildren. Beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her mother, Sarah Higgs; children, Leslie Martin, LeRoy (Christina) Anderson, Melissa Gayle Servant, Melissa Lynn Martin and James Martin; grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha, Jacob, Brayden, Adrina, Kaleb (Melody) and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Waylon, Lordihno, Keegan, Azlynn, Yulianna, Kira and Paige; and brother, Steve (Pam) Higgs. She is predeceased by her daughter, Kim Anderson and father, Walter Higgs.

A Memorial Service held Friday April 27, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, with visitation from 4:00 pm until the time of services at 6:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
