ROCKFORD – Janet M. Bailey, age 81, of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday September 27, 2018. Born in Rockford on November 28, 1936 to C. Werner & Gloria E. Johnson (Johnson). Janet loved to travel and enjoy a good book. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John F. Bailey Sr.; sons, John (late Sue) Bailey Jr. and Jeff Bailey; grandchildren, Amy (Brent Anderson) Bailey, Josh (Leah) Bailey, John (Shannon) Bailey and Jacob (Shelley Marchione) Bailey; great grandchildren, Karrie (Brandon Hasty), Blayke, Josh Jr., Charlotte, James, Jonas, Arielle, Lillian and Elliana; great great grandsons, Jaxson & Evan; brother, Dennis (Marie) Johnson; aunt, Loueen Ruckert; as well as several nieces & nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents.

Funeral Services held Friday October 5, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave. with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of services at noon. Interment at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials to the family.
