ROCKFORD – Janet Marie LaBella (Vettore), age 88, lifelong resident Rockford passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026. Born in Rockford, IL on March 1, 1938 to Carl P. & Mable Vettore (Gallina). A devoted and active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church then St. James Catholic Church, Janet truly enjoyed volunteering for numerous organizations and roles throughout the church and the many friendships she made along the way. She had a fanciful spirit for design, fashion and the arts. A talented seamstress and artisan, she loved knitting, painting, crotchet and had a passion for interior design and home decor. She possessed a childlike and adventurous spirit and stayed active skiing, rafting, tennis and maybe a round or two of golf. Janet always enjoyed the simple things life had to offer. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her daughter, Renee LaBella; grandson, Joseph (Carmen) LaBella; sister, Judy Weller; numerous nieces & nephews as well as great and great-great nieces & nephews, many dear friends; and beloved cat, Ivy. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Carl Anthony LaBella; daughter, Christine Louise LaBella; brother, David (Carol) Vettore; dear friend, John Ingrassia; and her parents.
