Janice Lynn Wallin-Herrli

ROCKFORD – Janice Lynn Wallin-Herrli, age 77, of Rockford passed away peacefully Friday January 12, 2024. Born in Rockford on January 21, 1946 to Carl & Marion Herrli (Newberg). An avid bowler in her younger years, most recently Janice enjoyed the challenge of a good word-search, adult coloring books and testing her luck at Bingo. She truly loved spending time with family & friends and loved spoiling her grandchildren & great grandchildren her pride & joy any chance she could get. Beloved mother, grandma, great grandma, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by children, Jeff (late Deborah) Wallin and Jennifer (fiancé Jesse Powell) Blackman; grandchildren, Erica (Bob) Smolka, Trent Blackman (Deanna Wilson) and Jason Malcomson; great grandchildren, Alijah, Natalie, William and Jaxson; siblings, Candy (Steve) Soderburg and Rick (Bonnie) Herrli; and numerous nieces & nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by daughters, Jill & Kimberly Wallin; brother, Ronald Herrli; and her parents.

Funeral Services held Monday January 22, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
