SURPRISE, AZ - Jennifer Borgen, age 69, of Surprise, AZ and formerly of Rockford passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday June 3, 2018 in Rockford, IL. . Born in Chester, England to John Slater & Dorothy Ellen Tait (Hallmark). An avid shopper and world traveler, Jennifer loved to spend time traveling with her family & crocheting. A proud member of the British Club of Sun City, AZ. and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 107, Phoenix, AZ.. Beloved, Funny, and Charming wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her husband, John Veneigh; daughter, Sarah J. Borgen & granddaughters, Jayne Victoria, Melanie Valencia, & Madelyn Michelle (Dan Janssen).; brother, John Tait of Tidworth, England and his children Samantha, Caroline, Simon, & Paul; stepsons; Robert (Tracy) Borgen and daughters Ashley & Jaclyn, granddaughter Rebecca and Robert (April) Veneigh and daughters Kimberly & Kaelyn; Special nieces, nephews, and family of Rockford, Il, Tellico Plains, Tn. & Phoenix, AZ. . long-time family friends, Freda (Johnny) Nash and children, Louise & Graham of Farnham, England; dear friends and special caregivers; Susan (Gary) Steele of Sun City West, AZ; and beloved dog, Miles. She is predeceased by her parents and the father of her daughter; Robert M. Borgen.
The family would like to Thank Emily Kwiatkowski, Claudine Bjork and the rest of the staff at Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care.
Memorial to be held on Friday June 8, 2018 from 3-4 pm at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, 6202 Charles St., Rockford,IL., followed by services in England with her family at a later date. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
