Jerrel F. Reding

ROCKTON – Jerrel Floyd Reding, age 80, of Rockton and formerly of Shirland and Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday July 16, 2020. Born in Ottawa, IL on July 6, 1940 to William Floyd & Mary Alice Reding (Van Horn). A proud Veteran of the US Air Force, Jerrel enjoyed woodworking and camping with the family. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Esther M. Reding (Peterson); children, Jackie (Tom) Gallager, Jason (Kim) Reding, Garrett (Missie) Reding and Joshua (Erin) Reding; grandchildren, Ayden, Ashlynn and Acen; siblings, Faith Ann, Paul, Dana and Kayla; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by brother, Mel; and his parents.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
