John Bailey

ROCKFORD – John Franklin Bailey Sr., age 84, of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday November 27, 2019. Born in Sallisaw, OK on October 20, 1935 to Grover Benton & Myrtle Bailey (Metheny). Dedicated, hardworking and beloved; father, grandfather, great & great great grandfather and dear friend, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by sons, John (late Sue) Bailey Jr. and Jeff Bailey; grandchildren, Amy (Brent Anderson) Bailey, Josh (Leah) Bailey, John (Shannon) Bailey and Jacob (Shelley) Bailey; great grandchildren, Karrie (Brandon Hasty), Blayke, Josh Jr., Charlotte, James, Jonas, Arielle, Lillian and Elliana; great great grandsons, Jaxson & Evan; as well as several nieces & nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Janet Bailey (Johnson); siblings, Jane, Velma, G B and Billy; and his parents.

Funeral Services held Thursday December 5, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave. with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Interment at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials to the family.
