ROCKFORD – John Michael Bedin "Johnny B", age 51, of Rockford passed away peacefully Friday October 14, 2022. Born in Rockford on January 8, 1971 to Michael John Bedin & Rosemary Jean Jacobson. John worked as a bartender at numerous establishments in Rockford. He enjoyed fishing, a good workout at the gym and most of all spending time with his daughter Emma, his true pride and joy. Beloved father, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by sister, Crystal Bedin; nephew, Bradley Boren; fianc é , Brandi Yates; daughter, Emma Yates; dear friends, Chip Addington and Steve Eisman. He is predeceased by his father, Michael John Bedin; mother, Rosemary Jean Alden; grandmother, Lena Higgins; and dear friend, Blas Serrano.

Funeral Services held Saturday October 22, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rockford Promise – www.rockfordpromise.org
