John Nathen Knowlton

SOUTH BELOIT – John Nathen Knowlton, age 53, of South Beloit and formerly of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 19, 2017. Born in Pocahontas, AR on December 2, 1963 to Johnny & Sue Wanda Knowlton (O'Bryan). Nathen enjoyed fishing, camping, 4 wheeling and rooting for the Chicago Cubs and the Bears. Beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and dear friend, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Denise Marie Knowlton; daughter, Danyell (Chad) Firman; grandchildren, Madyson and Gage; brothers, Paul and David (Mona); sister, Anita; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents; & many aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services to be held on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Firstborn Ministries, 8213 N. Alpine Rd., Loves Park, IL. Interment at New Milford Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday April 24, 2017 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the church. Christenson Funerals home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
