John Legrady Jr.

BELVIDERE – John Legrady Jr., age 88, of Belvidere passed away peacefully Friday January 26, 2024. Born in Chicago on November 30, 1935 to John & Lena Legrady (Manadala). A proud veteran of the US Army, John worked for many years at R-R Spring Corp of Addison until his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and testing his luck at the slot machines. Beloved father, grandfather and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by son, Mike (Susan) Legrady; daughter-in-law, Suzette Legrady; grandchildren, Ryan (Lucie) Legrady, Derek Legrady and Alyssa Legrady; numerous nieces & nephews; and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Lynne A. Legrady (Richter); son, Tim Legrady; and sister, Vera (John) Pikulski.

Interment services held Friday February 9, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
