Joseph Clarence Neighbor

ROCKFORD –Joseph Clarence Neighbor, age 74, of Rockford and formerly of Elgin, IL passed away peacefully Monday May 16, 2022. Born in Evanston, IL on November 11, 1947 to Clarence & Dorothy Neighbor (Aman). A proud Veteran of the US Army and loyal Cubs, Bears and Notre Dame fan; Joe loved fishing, hiking, enjoying the great outdoors and watching WWE Wrestling. Beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by children, Bettina (Mark) Albanese, Yvette (Kevin) Olson, Alexander (Natalie) Neighbor and Maurice (Chrissy) Neighbor; grandchildren, Dylan, Landan, Jameson and Jax; sisters, twin Julie (Larry) Sacony and Nora Neighbor; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Donald & George; and mother of his children, Margrit Borchert.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
