Joseph Francis Suski

ROCKFORD – Joseph Francis Suski, age 92, of Rockford passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday December 2, 2024. Born in Crary, North Dakota on December 18, 1931 to Frank & Stella Suski (Losievsky). A proud Veteran of the US Navy, Joe had a heart as big as his sense of humor. A jokester and true people person, he was known for his quick wit, ridiculous dances and singing out of tune. He had an incredible ability to make people feel special and found joy in the simplest of moments. A jack of all trades he loved tinkering, repairing and collecting anything in disrepair and was always available for help with major home projects and renovations. Devoted family man, his greatest joy came from being a husband, father, grand & great grandpa, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by daughter, Donna (Roger) Sellers of Fayettville, AR; son, Steve (Martina) Suski of Freeport; granddaughters, Theresa (EJ), Brittney (Sean) and Cole (Yana); great grandchildren, Inara, River and JR; siblings, George (Lee) Suski, Henry (late Joan) Suski, Irene (late Wendell) Rosene, Winnie (Bob) Kaehr and Pattie (Don) Rayphole; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 59 years, Evelyn Bessie Suski (Masters); siblings, Harold (Bev) Suski, Howard Suski, Anna (Orrie) Palm, Frances (Wade) Wentworth, Margie Holes, Jimmy Suski, Casmir (Peggy) Suski and Mary (Robert) Leddy.

Funeral Services held Monday December 9, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the family.
