Juan Machado

ROCKFORD – Juan Marcos Machado, age 34, loving father & husband passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones Wednesday March 22, 2023. Born in Rockford, IL on May 13, 1988 to Maria Hernandez & Hector "Tuco" Encinas Jr.

Juan was a proud resident of Rockford, where he spent most of his life. He was known for his passion for working with his hands, including auto mechanic work which he enjoyed doing in his spare time. He was also interested in technology and had a fascination with all things mechanical. Juan was a passionate food lover, inheriting his mother's love for cooking and enjoying preparing meals for his family & friends. Unfortunately, Juan had been battling diabetes and kidney failure for a long time. Despite his struggles he remained optimistic and courageous, always facing his challenges with strength and determination.

Juan will be dearly missed by his family & friends, who will always remember his kindness, humor and love for life. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and his legacy will continue to inspire others.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kristin Heckman; son, Logan; stepfather, Mario Hernandez; siblings, Angela Trevino, Alejandra Ries, Gabriel Encinas and Mario Hernandez Jr.; as well as many aunts & uncles and cousins remain to mourn his passing. He is predeceased by his mother, Maria Hernandez (Machado); and father, Hector "Tuco" Encinas Jr.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Thursday March 30, 2023 from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 211 N Main St, Rockford, IL. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arraignments. Memorials to the family.
