Juanita Kimmons

MACHESNEY PARK – Juanita Kimmons, age 81, of Machesney Park passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday May 20, 2017. Born in Walnut Ridge, AR on September 8, 1935 to John Albert Logan & Audie Gertrude Guffey (Dobbs). Juanita accepted her Faith in Jesus at the age of 18 and spread her spirituality her entire life through her support of her Church. An Elder Member of Firstborn Ministries and Sunday School teacher, she loved her Church and Church family. Loving and kind in all her ways, she never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Beloved mother, grandmother, and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by children, Ronnie (Patty) Eversoll, Carol (late Richard) King, Sharon (late Robert) Maynard, Linda Kimmons and Duane (Jean) Kimmons; 11 grandchildren, numerous great & great great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews; and dear friends, Mary Ann Casto and Rosa Mae Lawler. She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas H. Kimmons and grandsons, Christopher Anderson and Eddie Lee Maddux.

Funeral Services to be held Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Firstborn Ministries, 8213 N. Alpine Rd., Loves Park. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday May 23, 2017 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 PM at Firstborn Ministries. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
