Juanita Manley

DEKALB, IL - Juanita Manley, age 88, of Dekalb, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Tuesday November 29, 2022 at St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, IL. Born February 10,1934 in Vanndale, AR, the daughter of Lawrence Edward and Mamie Canzada Robertson (Woolbright). Juanita was a faithful member of Grace Family Church and raised her family in the ways of the Lord. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She lived at Heritage Woods in Dekalb and received exceptional care and her caregivers became a part of her family.

She is survived by her beloved children, Brenda (Blaine) Hicks, Joan (Roger) Woods, Keith (Cathy) Manley and Teresa (Rick) Summers; sisters, Veda Catlett and Wanda Beeson; grandchildren, Richard (Stacey) Hicks, Chris (Cara) Woods, Angie (Bruce) Seldal, Jeremy (Erica) Hicks, Brandon Woods, Ben (Courtney) Manley, Melissa (Josh) Wyzard, Tara (Rob) Shedden, Kari (Jake) Wagner, Sarah (Daniel) Judkins and Michelle Manley; great grandchildren, Corrin (Colt) Preston, Cole (Larissa) Hicks, Jacob (Marissa), Mak, Bailey, Aiden & Stella Seldal, Ciera & Cashton Woods, Laney & Emma Hicks, Ella & Madison Wyzard, Chloe, Colette & Conner Shedden, Jonah & Evalynn Wagner and Silas Judkins; great great grandchildren, Aspen, Ryker & River Preston, Raelynn & Hunter Hicks and Oliver & Avery Seldel; numerous nieces & nephews; and many dear friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, William Manley; brother, Edward Robertson, sisters, Virginia Spencer and Maxine Robbins; grandson, Gregory Blaine Hicks; and her parents.

Funeral Services held Monday December 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Grace Family Church, 3202 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Rockford, IL conducted by Pastor Keith Manley & Pastor Jerry Whitener. Visitation held from 9:30 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rochelle, IL at 3:00 PM. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
