ROCKFORD – Kathleen Ann Sonneborn, age 57, of Rockford and formerly of Burbank, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Born in Chicago on December 5, 1960, to Henry Laurance & Betty Jean Sonneborn (Crosley). Kathleen had a forgiving heart and enjoyed meeting new people, she never knew a stranger. She loved cooking, dancing, music, video games, animals especially horses & kittens, and most of all the Lord. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by children, Jamie Ann (Jay) Floyd, Theresa Ann Wright & James Laurance Vahos; former husband, James George Vahos; two grandchildren; siblings, Pamela Sonneborn, Sandra (Dorsey) Sawicki, Henry "Hank" L Sonneborn Jr.; sister-in-law, Brenda Sonneborn; beloved furry grandson, Vinny; numerous nieces & nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Mikey Sonneborn; pets, Shadow, Queenie, Rusty, Cassie, Oreo, Peanuts, Happy, Pepper & Jazzie Jet.
Services are private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
