ROCKFORD- Kelli Jean Betts, age 54, of Rockford passed away peacefully Sunday February 26, 2017. Born in Rockford on December 19, 1962 to Charles Leon & Irene Joanne Betts (Landin). The most important thing in her life was family, her grandchildren were the light of her life. No matter what she always made sure her children knew her love. Kelli enjoyed thrifting, shopping and crafting, always making or buying gifts to make people smile. She loved taking pictures and receiving them to put on display. She was a jokester and loved to laugh. Beloved mother, Nana, sister and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by daughters, Mandi Garcia and Kristin (Sheena) Cottrell; grandchildren, Skye, Christian, Brooklyn, Stormi, Alexis and Summer; siblings, Connie Pettenger, Mary Modglin, Randy (Mary) Betts, Jeff (late Karen) Betts, Jonnie (Marlene) Betts, twin, Kenny Betts and Terry Betts; numerous nieces & nephews; cat, Mininess; and dear friends, Trisha Whiting, Kelly Burton and Lila Ballard. Predeceased by brothers Michael and Jerry Betts.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at the Blackhawk club on
Sunday March 5th at 1:30pm
. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
