Kevin Eugene Soma

ROCKFORD – Kevin Eugene Soma, age 53 of Rockford passed away due to unknown causes on Saturday October 21, 2018. Born in Sioux Falls, SD on January 10, 1965 to Howard Eugene & LaVonne Ardis Soma (Lewig). Kevin will always be remembered by his loving family. He enjoyed fishing and cooking with his mother at the VFW. After the passing of his mother, he moved to Rockford, was employed by Elco Manufacturing. The last few years he's been struggling with his disabilities. He had a personal relationship with Jesus and loved to talk about him. He had his struggles but he knew where he wanted to end up. He had such a big heart and loved his family so much. Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by daughter, Kayliegh Koulsarath of Souix Falls, SD.; sisters, Gail (Bob) Freyman of Abingdon, MD. & Dianne Fennell of Harrison, OH.; two grandsons, 2 nieces & 2 nephews; many aunts & uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Soma.

A Celebration of Life Memorial held on Saturday November 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 4620 20 ^th Street, Rockford. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until the time of services at 2:00 PM. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
