Kim M. Spatz

ROCKFORD – Kim Marcella Spatz, age 67, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home Monday January 6, 2025. Born in Rockford February 14, 1957 daughter of Richard Gordon & Norma June Wolfe (Elliott). Graduate of Auburn High School, Kim married her high school sweetheart, Richard Russell Spatz on February 5, 1977. A proud member of Central Christian Church, she loved cross-stitch, word puzzles and sitting down with a good book. Devoted to her faith and her family; beloved wife, mother, grand & great grandma, daughter, sister and dear friend, she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Richard "Russ" Spatz; son, Richard Eric (Danielle) Spatz; grandchildren, Morgyn, Lilly & Charley; great granddaughter, Amberlyn; parents, Richard & Norma Wolfe; siblings, Kevin (Sandy) Wolfe, Kent Wolfe (Jill Kennay) and Kelly (Warren) Propst; sister-in-law, Pam Spatz; as well as numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Robert James (Courtney) Spatz; father & mother-in-law, Richard & Ellen Spatz; and brother-in-law, James Allen Spatz.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Central Christian Church, 6595 Guilford Rd., Rockford. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
