Kristina Jean Torres

ROCKFORD – Kristina Jean Torres, age 46, of Rockford and formerly of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully Sunday April 3, 2022. Born in Pontiac, MI on May 25, 1975 to Joseph & Margaret Torres (Greer). Kristina enjoyed shopping, cooking and dancing. Most of all she adored her children & grandchildren and loved spending every second with them. Beloved mother, sister and best grandma ever! She will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Mario Arce, Victoria Torres, Manuel Erick, Angelicia Torres and Cristoval Hernandez; grandchildren, Leandro, Natalia, Isabella, Santos "Jr.", Kaidyn, Mareli and Cristoval Jr., Leia Angeliah and Kristina Estella; siblings, Cheryl (Jose) Aguilera, Joseph (Stephanie) Torres, Christopher (Cassie) Torres, Mark (late Kelly Ackerson) Proper, Jeff "Earl" (late Shelly) Proper; numerous nieces & nephews; special niece, Shannon; significant other, Christian Romero; best friend, Shelley Merrit; and beloved cats, Chloe & LuLu; She is predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Dawn Bautista, Paula Proper and Harold "Butch" Proper III.

Funeral Services held Thursday April 14, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 5:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
