Laura M. Carner

LOVES PARK – Laura M. Carner, age 70, of Loves Park and formerly of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday February 27, 2020. Born in Rockford on May 24, 1949 to Frank Howard & Ruby Laura Feierday (Gulyban). She worked at Owen Center Walmart for many years. Laura loved all animals, especially white tigers and very much enjoyed playing the odds at the slot machines & scratch-off tickets. Her true pride & joy were her grandchildren and spending time with her family. Beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her son, Jason (Nicole) Carner; mother, Ruby Feierday; grandchildren, Jayden, Kyler, Gavyn, Serenity, Zach, Brenden, Anna, Jessica, Elizabeth, Chad and Caleb; 3 great grandchildren; niece, Kristin Elliot; brother-in-law, Lenny Carner; and many beloved cousins and dear friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Jerry Carner; son, Jeremy Carner; sister, Sharon (Greg) Elliot; nephew, Terry Carner; and beloved dog, Gabby.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Friday March 13, 2020 at 6:00 PM at Firstborn Ministries, 8213 N Alpine Rd, Loves Park, with visitation from 5:00 PM until the time of services at 6:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
