Lavetta Clausen-Simon

ROCKFORD – Lavetta Clausen-Simon, age 86, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home on Sunday April 8, 2018. Born in Miami, OK on August 11, 1931 to John Fredrick & Zora Lonberg (Tucker). She moved to Rockford from Parsons, KS in 1953 and married Eugene A. Clausen on February 27, 1960. They were married for 28 years and raised two daughters. Eugene passed in 1988 and in 1992 she married Delbert Simon, they were wed for 24 years. Lavetta was employed as executive secretary at Eckstrom Carlson & Co. for 10 years. She was a proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church. An avid bowler, she bowled in many local leagues. Loving and kind in all her ways, she was a caring, devoted and dedicated mother & homemaker, always putting her daughters first. Loving mother and sister; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbi Clausen; brother, Norman Lonberg; and numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her husbands; Eugene A. Clausen and Delbert Simon; daughter, Kimberly Sue Clausen; sisters, Oleta, Hazel, Imogene, Nadine and Phyllis; and brother, Austin.

Funeral services held Saturday April 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue, with visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of services at 10:00 AM. Interment at Willwood Burial Park. Memorials to the family.
