Lester Leroy Batorski Sr.

AMBOY – Lester Leroy Batorski Sr., age 84, of Amboy, IL and formerly of Sycamore, IL passed away peacefully Monday April 26, 2021. Born in Chicago, IL on February 16, 1937 to Walter F. Batorski and Anne K. Lofthouse. A proud Marine Corp Veteran, Lester retired after 40 years of service at Barber Greene/Caterpillar of Dekalb. He enjoyed the great outdoors and loved spending time fishing, hunting, tending his garden and tinkering on the farmette. A true family man he loved keeping the company of his children, grandchildren and beloved dogs. Dearest husband, father, grandfather and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Julie Ann Batorski (Klock); children, Cindy L. Hartline, Jean A. Armstrong, Lester L. (Marsha) Batorski Jr. and Luann L. (Neal) Owens; grandchildren, Stacy, Stephanie, Robert, Brett, Nicole, Natasha, Chad, Michelle and Toni; 21 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; numerous cousins; and cherished dog, Remi. He is predeceased by his mother, Anne (Henry) Bender; and father, Walter Batorski.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
