Letha Lucille Early

ROCKFORD – Letha Lucille Early, age 73, of Rockford passed away peacefully Saturday July 16, 2022. Born in Lancaster, MO on September 18, 1948 to Melvin & Marjorie Bishop (Wheeler). D eeply rooted in her Christian faith, she attended Lighthouse Temple Church and was a proud member of the Eagles Club. Letha worked for many years at Barber Colman Company and Knowles Electric of Elgin. She truly loved shopping, everything Victoria's Secret and spending time with her children and grandchildren, her true pride & joy. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Mark) Edwards and Savannah (Jeremy) Palmer; stepson, John (Kim) Early Jr. grandchildren, Izaac, Stephen and Veronica (Ryan); numerous step grand & great grandchildren; siblings, Donald (late Faydean) Bishop, Steve (Edith) Bishop, Dave Bishop, Betty (Dennis) Kellems and Marjorie (late Terry) Paris; sister-in-law, Patricia Bishop; numerous nieces & nephews; and dear friend, Carol Hicks. She is predeceased by her former husband and significant other, John Dewel Early; stepdaughters, Tammy & Angela; siblings; Helen Berry, Harold Blodgett and Timothy Bishop; and her parents

Funeral Services held Thursday July 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Interment at New Milford Cemetery. Memorials to the family.
