Lois Maxine Burpo

ROCKFORD – Lois Maxine Burpo, age 68 of Rockford passed away on Thursday February 21, 2019. Born in Newport, AR. On November 11, 1950 to Dewey & Opal Sample (Arnold). Beloved spouse, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her significant other for over 30 years, Rick Young; daughter, Demetra (David) Taylor; grandchildren, Kasson Burpo, Maylin, Neveah & Mason Taylor; siblings, Doris (late David) Johann, Leah (late Harley) Jaco, PaulRay Sample, Noah (Becky) Sample, Leonard Sample, Teresa (Randall) Malott & Greba June Waire; and numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents & father of her daughter, Dale Burpo.

Celebration of life held Saturday March 9, 2019 at Twentieth Street Missionary Baptist Church, 5820 20 ^th Street, Rockford, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
