Louis Eugene Leon

ROCKFORD – Louis Eugene Leon, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 25, 2017. Born in Rockford on August 8, 1926 to Santiago & Margaret Leon (Temporali). He married Ruby Caroline Nelson in Rockford on March 8, 1947. Louis had a passion for gardening and working in his yard. A proud Veteran of the United States Army. He retired after 35 years as a milk truck driver for Muller Pinehurst Dairy. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruby Caroline Leon; children, Becky Leon and Eugene Leon; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Blase (Peggy) Leon; many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter, Susan Leon; sister, Antonia; brother, Richard; and his parents.

Funeral services to be held on Wednesday November 29, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue, Rockford. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery. Memorials to the family. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
