ROCKFORD – Maria R. Miller, age 62, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday June 7, 2017. Born in Brownsville, Texas on May 4, 1955 to Jose Sanchez & Juana Aguirre Lopez. Maria loved flowers and taking spontaneous travel adventures. Beloved mother, sister, aunt and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by son, Ross Miller; siblings, Lou Peterson, Jose Sanchez, Juan Sanchez, Frank Sanchez, Esperanza Sanchez, Robert Sanchez, Ciro Lopez, Norma Roe, Olga Grindstaff, Irma Anderson and James Sanchez; dear friend, Melvina Jackson, and numerous beloved dogs. She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Maria L. Cochran.

A Celebration of Life Memorial to be held on Saturday June 10 ^th , 2017 at 1:00 PM at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., with vitiation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
