Marlean Kaye Simpson

ROCKFORD – Marlean Kaye Simpson, age 80, of Rockford passed away peacefully Monday, June 22, 2026. Born in Aurora, IL on December 24, 1945 to Joseph David & Eltha Ruth Leadbetter (Davis). A devoted Christian, extreme prayer warrior and proud long standing member of Firstborn Ministries, Marlean had an unwavering faith and a true love for Jesus. Amazingly great sister, aunt and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her beloved siblings, Carrie Griffen Hinsley, Richard (Alice) Leadbetter and Roy (Dorothy) Leadbetter; nieces, Amanda, Angela, Elizabeth, Amy, April and Katie; and numerous great nieces & nephew. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Simpson; and her parents.

Funeral Services held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Firstborn Ministries, 8213 N Alpine Rd., Loves Park, with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Graveside interment held Monday, June 29, 2026 at 11:00 am at Riverside Cemetery, 414 N. River Street, Montgomery, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
