Marlene Jeanne Meyers

BELVIDERE - Marlene J. Meyers, age 88, of Belvidere, IL passed away Tuesday July 26, 2022. Born September 6, 1933 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Arthur & Hazel (McKiski) Aves. Attended Belvidere schools and graduated from Belvidere High School in 1951. She married Gerald Rollins in 1954, to which their children were born. Marlene later married Lyons Meyers in 1983. Member of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church. Employed as a bookkeeper at local business until retirement. Marlene enjoyed reading, short trips, knitting for charities and all animals.

Survivors include husband, Lyons; daughter, Debra Arthur; son, Jeffrey Rollins; grandchildren, Allen and Kayla Arthur, Ashley and Kyle Rollins; brother, Ronald Aves; sister, Audrey (Don) Kaalaas; and nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents; and son-in-law, Henry Arthur.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Wednesday August 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church, 12 Cherry St., Cherry Valley, with visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Cherry Valley United Methodist Church or Carpenter's Place Outreach Center.
