Mary Guana Austin

ROCKFORD – Mary Guana Austin, age 66, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Sunday June 24, 2018. Born in Leander, TX on December 26, 1951 to Cruz & Sofia DeLaRosa (Guana). Mary enjoyed shopping at local thrift stores & flea markets, cooking homemade meals for her family, and was known for making the best chili. Her favorite thing was spending time with her special grandson Ethan, he was her pride and joy. Beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by husband, Jerry Austin; mother, Sofia DeLaRosa; daughters, Melissa & Maxine Austin; special grandson, Ethan; and numerous brothers & sisters. She is predeceased by her father, Cruz DeLaRosa and sisters, Rosa Cortinas & Virginia DeLaRosa.
