Mary Lou Hastings

ROCKFORD – Mary Lou Hastings, age 74, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Thursday April 28, 2022. Born in Monroe, WI on March 8, 1948 to Clifton & Helen Edwards (Anderson). Loving & kind in all her ways and a true country girl at heart, Mary loved guns, hunting, froggin and long rides on her motorcycle. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics and playing darts, but most of all loved spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren- her pride & joy. Beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, John Hastings; children, Chad (Reece) Edwards, Jason Swinney and Bobbie (Jay) Jackson; grandchildren, Savannah (Matt), Niccolle, Kristen (Adam), Jason, Joey, Dylan, Alexis, Hunter, Jacob (Tiffany), Austin, Gregorie and Jorge; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Dixie) Edwards; numerous nieces & nephews; and dear friends, Wanda, Rosie & Sue. She is predeceased by her daughter, Dawn Evink; sisters, Bonnie Evink & Lavina Pumphery; brother, Danny Edwards; father-in-law, Bob Hastings; her parents; and beloved dog, Sebastian

Funeral Services held Tuesday May 3, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 5:00 pm until the time of services at 7:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
