Mary Lou Richter

ROCKFORD – Mary Lou Richter, age 75, of Rockford passed away peacefully Sunday August 5, 2018. Born in Rockford on November 21, 1942 to Jean & May Flora Artz (Meinheit). Mary loved traveling, camping and fishing with her husband and friends. She enjoyed her garden, canning and was famous for her peanut brittle and jams. Beloved wife, sister, sister-in-law and aunt; she will remain in our hearts forever.


She is survived by her siblings, Helen, Edith, Jerry (Sharon), Rodney (Diana) and Lyle; sister-in-law Sonya (Michael) Terronez; numerous nieces & nephews; many Richter-Lutovsky in-laws; and beloved dog, Coco. She is predeceased by her husband, G. Ronald Richter; 3 brothers; and her parents.


Funeral services held Wednesday August 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary.
