Michael Wayne Mcguire

ROCKFORD – Michael Wayne McGuire, age 56, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Saturday May 27, 2017. Born in Rockford on April 20, 1961 to Grover Clevland "June" & Josephine McGuire (Cortez). He loved to work on cars and had a passion to fix things & remodeling our family homes and was there whenever we needed him; he also enjoyed fishing & country music. Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and dear friend, he will remain in our hearts forever until we meet again.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Joanna P. McGuire (Wallace); children, Crystal, Josephine and Joshua McGuire; mother, Josephine McGuire; sisters, Rose Mary (Alfred) Heigges, Vickie McGuire, Patty Whistler, Marie (late Don) Davis, Mary (Matt) Hansen; brother, Patrick McGuire; nephews, Gary McGuire, Sam (Caroline) McGuire, Micael, Robert, Matthew, Tristan & Ryan; nieces, Tricia, Josie (David), Amanda & Marissa; and several great nieces & great nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Grover Clevland "June" McGuire.

Memorial services to be held Saturday June 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Wood Baptist Church, 705 N. Springfield Ave., Rockford. Food and fellowship to follow immediately after services. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
