Michael Allen Wiltzius

LEAF RIVER – Michael Allen Wiltzius, age 44, of Leaf River, IL and formerly of Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026. Born in Rockford, IL on August 2, 1982 to William & Joan Wiltius (Johnson). An avid outdoor enthusiast, Mike enjoyed nature hikes and long walks in the park with Gio, his true pride and joy. A sports fanatic and Cincinnati Bengals super fan, he loved online gaming and most of all hanging out with his family and friends. Beloved son, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Stanis; brothers, Nicholas (Keyanna) Wiltzius, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Stanis and Christopher (Katie) Vaccarro; son, Isaac Anderson; 2 stepsons; brother-in-law, Jeremy Lofton; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; dear friend, Patrick; former spouse, Heidi Wiltzius (Ford); many cherished friends and co-workers; and beloved dog, Gio. He is predeceased by his father, William “Bill” Wiltzius; sister, Katherine “Katie” Lofton; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral Services to be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 4:00 pm at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm.
