Nancy Regina Peterson

ROCKFORD – Nancy Regina Peterson, age 62 of Rockford and formerly of Sycamore, Belvidere and grew up in Pecatonica, passed away on Monday November 12, 2018. Born in Fort Benning, GA on March 18, 1956 to Leroy & Mamie Peterson (Zito). Nancy loved keeping up with current events and watching live feeds of Giraffes. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by children, Chandra (Henry Cummins) Peterson and Stephen (Megan) Hare; grandchildren, Terrence (fiance Kenosha), Jerri, Asti, Jahmani, Amy & Justin; great-granddaughter, Cali; brother, Glen Peterson; nephew, Christopher Hare; niece, Ann Peterson; dogs, Boss & Sasha; cockatiel bird, Johnny. She is predeceased by her parents; sister, Yvonne Challieh and nephew, Jesse Hare.
