ROCKFORD – Nigeria Shareen Barfield, age 26, of Rockford passed away Wednesday February 15, 2023. Born in Rockford on August 7, 1996 to Thomas Lamont Fort & Anita Barfield. Loving and kind in all her ways, Nigeria enjoyed singing, writing, hair & make-up and her Bible. Above she loved her family, her husband and children were truly her pride & joy. Beloved wife, daughter, mother, aunt and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Antonio Bell; children, Ny' arie Barfield Horton and Azani & Azari Bell; mother, Anita Barfield; siblings, Tarena Barfield, Crystal Jackson, Shakeda Barfield, Jeremy Tale-Barfield, Jasmine Barfield and Tonita Barfield; and many nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles and cousins; and dear friend, Shyterria Scott. She is predeceased by her father, Thomas Lamont Fort; and grandmothers, Geraldine Coble & Jeanetta Fort

Funeral Services held Saturday March 11, 2023 at 12:00 noon at No Cross No Crown Fellowship, 1228 17 ^th Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
