Norman L. Jones

ROCKFORD – Norman L. Jones, age 90, of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday October 10, 2024. Born in Pocahontas, AR on November 6, 1933 to Samuel & Sadie Jones (Nipps). A charismatic people person, always with a smile on his face, Norman could always bring the best out of people and was a true friend to all. He loved spending time with family and very much enjoyed biscuits & gravy, a hot cup of coffee and don't forget the sweets! Beloved father, grandfather and great papa; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by daughter, Norma (Bill) Pomering; granddaughters, Amanda (Kyle) DeWall and Brooke (Robert) Frasca; great grandchildren, Hunter & Hailee DeWall; special nephew, Jimmy Jones; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Jeanette Jones (Goodman); sons, Floyd & Ruben Jones; brothers, Manuel, Eugene, Granvel, Junior and Jake; and his parents.

Funeral Services held Monday October 14, 2024 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford. Cremation rites accorded. Interment Kishwaukee Cemetery, Stillman Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
