Patricia Ann Sandell

ROSCOE, IL - Our Beloved Patricia Ann Sandell (nee Neff), age 77, of Roscoe passed away at home Sunday October 6, 2024. Born in Rockford on August 31, 1947 to Chester Neff.

Pat was a devoted and adored wife of Donald A. Sandell. A faithful mother of two and loved grandmother and great grandmother, Pat knew how to look for the special in life. She and Don had a love for travel and adventure as they traveled from Hawaii to the Caribbean. Her heart took joy in her husband and loved ones. Pat enjoyed the beauty of gardening, birds, carousel horses, eagles, crossword puzzles, and games.

A graduate of East High School in Rockford, IL, Pat was a faithful employee of Rockford School District for 35 years. Her ability to find the joyful for children in comics, magazines, toys, and treats was a gift that lifted and blessed her loved ones. She devotedly spent each day lovingly at the side of Don, caring for him and taking outings together. She will be deeply missed and our love for her continues on.

She is survived by her husband, Donald A. Sandell. She is predeceased by her son, Glen A. Fleener; and daughter, Kimberly K. Nelson Dolan.

Funeral Services held Saturday October 19, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Interment at Willwood Burial Park, Rockford. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
