Ralph Donald Timbush Sr.

MACHESNEY PARK, IL – Ralph Donald Timbush Sr., age 85, of Machesney Park and formerly of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Born in Rockford on April 12, 1940 to John Nicholas & Dolly Timbush (Moore). Ralph enjoyed hunting and woodworking in his workshop. A proud member of the CB Radio Club, in his younger years he loved bowling, softball and roller skating. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Phyllis A. Timbush (Raia); sons; Ralph (April) Timbush Jr. and Samuel (Melissa) Timbush; grandchildren, Trisha (Kyle) Hughes, Jennifer (James) Spataro, Carmen Runblade, Lucas Timbush and Rebekah (fiancé Jose Ramirez) Timbush; several great grandchildren; numerous great & great great nieces and nephews; special friends, Judy Anderson and Steve Radke; and numerous, beloved dogs. He is predeceased by his son, Christopher Nicholas Timbush; and his parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 2:00 pm – 4 :00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held Monday, August 4, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson Street, Rockford. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the Family.
