Raymond C. Hodges

ROCKFORD - Raymond C. Hodges, age 76, died Tuesday, June 11, 2019, surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home. Born Dec. 29, 1942 in Oregon, IL. The son of Willis and C. Helen (Hepfer) Hodges. He was married 56 years to Judy Ann Hibbard of Rock Falls, IL. He was a real estate broker in Rockford for over 40 years and served 8 years on the Winnebago County Board of Review. He was elected Rockford Township Assessor for 3 terms from 1994 to 2006. He enjoyed family vacations on Kentucky Lake, northern Wisconsin, and annual road trips to and from Florida with his brother Jerry. He loved visiting his family, children, grandchildren, and playing cards with his brothers and sister.

He is survived by his wife Judy; sons, Randall (Lori) Hodges of Caledonia, IL and Dr. Bradley (Kirsten) Hodges of Milford, MA; twin daughters Christine (Eric) Parks of Littleton, CO and Cynthia (Jason) Stewart of Rockford, IL; his siblings, Roland (Betty) Hodges of Sesser, IL, Joseph (Jan) Hodges of Rockford, IL, Gerald (Karen) Hodges of Lorida, FL, Marilyn (Russell) Davison of Freeport, IL, and his 10 grandchildren, Daylie (Taylor) Hunt, Graham, William, Isaac, Anna, Ella, Harrison, Simon, Emily, and Elliot. Preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Russell Davison and sister-in-law, Karen L. Ballard.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford, IL 61107 at 11:00 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM. Luncheon to follow. Cremation rights by Christenson Funeral Home with private burial at a later date.
