Raymond William Mcgaw

ROCKFORD – Raymond William McGaw, age 70, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home Tuesday January 18, 2022. Born in Dekalb, IL on April 29, 1951 to Robert W. & Margaret McGaw (Schindler). Charismatic and charming a true people person, Raymond loved being a social butterfly. He enjoyed making people laugh and entertaining family & friends by his pool. Beloved father, grandfather and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his sons, James (Rachel) McGaw and Raymond (Precious) McGaw; grandchildren, Vincent, Kaden, Nathan, Aubrey and Raymond III; sisters, Marlis (Pat) Young and Roberta McGaw; mother-in-law; Jessica (late Michael) Ruvolo; brother-in-law, Michael (Kit) Ruvolo; as well as several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia McGaw (Ruvolo); sons, Mark and Matthew; daughter, Sarah; and his parents.

Funeral Services held Saturday January 22, 2022 at 12:30 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 10:30 am until the time of service at 12:30 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
