Renee Christine Wright (Whitbeck)

ROCKFORD-Renee C. Wright (Whitbeck), age 49, of Rockford, IL passed away Sunday February 28, 2021. Born in Omaha, NE on July 11, 1971 to Pamela Hoover. Renee grew up in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs. She resided most of her life in Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois. She received her medical assistant degree at Kaplan University and in recent years worked as a medical assistant. Renee loved to golf and played on her high school golf team. Photography also a passion, she took many cherished photos of family and friends throughout the years. She truly enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and was excited to see them win a World Series in her lifetime. Renee's greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother to her 4 beautiful children. Beloved mother, sister and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her children, Christian Whitbeck (Sammy Raditz) of Silvis, IL, Jaedyn Whitbeck, Kiyarra Whitbeck and A'zeyleah Wright; grandchildren, Kane & Kash Raditz; sisters, Christina Blomberg (Bruce Fernau) of Wolbach, NE, Lisa Quinones (Steve Hladky) of Grand Island, NE, Jessica Roberts (Corey Collings) of Davenport, IA and Paul (Sharon) Whitbeck of Cross Roads, TX. She is predeceased by her mother, Pamela Roberts; grandparents, Donald & Betty Hoover; cousins, Danny & Kim Evans.

It was Renee's wish to be cremated. She will be laid to rest with her mother and grandparents in Grand Island, Nebraska at a later date along with a graveside memorial. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
