Robert Eugene Ingersoll

HARVARD – Robert Eugene Ingersoll, age 59, of Harvard and formerly of Lake County Illinois passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday December 24, 2021. Born in Williamson, WV on April 6, 1962 to Robert Deskins & Betty Sue Harshbarger and adopted by Levi & Lora Ingersoll (Blackburn). A devoted Christian, Robert loved God and enjoyed the sounds of Christian hymns and online sermons. He enjoyed an occasional round of golf and was an avid Chicago Bears & Cubs fan. Roberts world and true pride & joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by children, Robert Ingersoll Jr., Jill (Gerardo) Alvarez and Rebecca Ingersoll; grandchildren, Olivia, Isabella, Julieanna, Kyle, Kurtis, Elleanna, Destant, Nathan, Elsie, Kendall, Brianna, Taylor, Levi and Steven; great grandson, Aurelio; biological mother, Betty Sue Harshbarger; brothers, Taft (Jill) and Larry Joe. He is predeceased by his adopted parents, Levi & Lori Ingersoll; biological father, Robert Deskins; mother of his children, Annette Evans; and siblings, Michael Ingersoll and Tammy Collins.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
