Robert August Moyer

ROCKFORD – Robert August Moyer, age 89, of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday July 27, 2022. Born in Pecatonica on January 30, 1933 to Howard B. & Edna J. Moyer (Peterson). A proud Veteran of the US Army, Robert enjoyed spending time with family & friends up north fishing and hunting. He loved coaching & playing all sports, especially bowling and finding time for a round of golf. Beloved father, grandfather and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by children, Rhonda (Larry) Stanley, Randal Moyer and Michael (Karen) Moyer; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia Anne Moyer; and 4 brothers.

Funeral Services held Tuesday August 9, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 noon. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
