Robert Leon Shaver

ROCKFORD – Robert Leon Shaver, age 69, of Rockford passed away Thursday December 30, 2021. Born in Chester, CA on January 16, 1952 and raised in Arkansas, son of James Raymond & Betty Shaver (Harbin). A proud Member of Brooke Road United Methodist Church, Robert served as SPRC Board member and custodian for many years. He worked at Sunbeam Bakery from a young man until his retirement, then a short time for Shaver Insurance. He loved tinkering on his red Mustang in the garage, fishing and bowling. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Jaqueline Rae Shaver (Ensminger); children, Carrie (Kurt) Pilz and Tim (Lori) Shaver; grandchildren, Michael, Kerren (Jeff), Alex, Cora (Miguel) and Emily; great grandchildren, Kayliegh, Aubrey, Avirey, Trey, Addilyn, Amelia and Jeremiah; siblings, Patsy (Danny) Robbins, David (Fran) Shaver, Henrietta (Frank) Byczynski and Steve (Kathy) Shaver; numerous nieces & nephews and cousins; beloved dogs, Ella and Pee Wee. He is predeceased by his parents.

Funeral Services held Thursday January 6, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Interment at Lightsville Cemetery, Leaf River. Memorials to the family.
