Robert Tapia

ROCKFORD – Robert Tapia, age 62, of Rockford passed away peacefully Tuesday February 4, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Born in Rockford on November 26, 1957 to Jesus Tapia & Patricia (Juan) Foriano (Mendez). A proud Packer Backer, Robert enjoyed fishing and was considered a Master on the grill. He truly enjoyed family get-togethers and backyard cookouts with the family. Beloved husband, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lori A. Tapia (Larson); siblings, Jesse (Sandy) Tapia, David Tapia, Daniel (Jane) Tapia, Elias Tapia, Esther Tapia, Eleanor Tapia, Betty (late John) Rush and Patricia Tapia; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Brad) Carlson and Karen Larson; numerous nieces & nephews; and beloved cats, Bear & Felix; He is predeceased by his parents; sisters, Rachel, Rebecca and Hope; and sister-in-law, Janet Larson.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Monday February 10, 2020 at 5:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., with visitation from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
